David Tweedy

W. David Tweedy is an associate with the firm practicing in the areas of Workers’ Compensation and Insurance Defense. David is from Jena, Louisiana and he is a bank counsel member of the Louisiana Banker’s Association. David graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2021 where he was a member of the Loyola Law Review and has been licensed to practice law in Louisiana since 2021. Following law school, David obtained an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida, and moved back to Louisiana to practice law. He has represented clients in business and corporate planning and re-structuring, lifetime and viatical settlements, wills, and successions, trusts and estate planning, IRS and Louisiana Department of Revenue tax controversy issues, the formation and issues arising out of Tax-Exempt Organizations (both public charities and private foundations), and defending insurance companies in Louisiana Workers’ Compensation claims and Insurance Defense and coverage-based claims.
